FAQ

Find Your Answers Here

To help you get your answers quickly, I’ve compiled a list of some of the most popular questions I’ve received from clients. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Get in touch and I’ll be happy to assist you.

How do I know if you are the right counsellor for me?

If you are thinking about starting some counselling, please contact me and we will arrange a 30 minute phone or Zoom call to explore what you would hope to gain from therapy and how well we think we might work together. It is an opportunity for you to experience my way of working and consider whether you would feel comfortable working with me. It is also an opportunity for me to assess whether I feel I am well placed to help you.

If you decide to proceed we will then confirm a regular weekly slot for your counselling.

Where will our counselling take place?

I currently offer counselling sessions on Tuesdays on Zoom.

How long will I be in counselling?

I offer Person Centred counselling open ended or to an agreed time period.

What are your fees?

£75 for a 50 minute session.

What is your cancellation policy?

I request 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend. I will aim to find an alternative time for us to meet.

If you do not provide 48 hours notice, you will be charged for the missed session.

Is what we talk about confidential?

I am committed to ensuring your privacy. This means that what we talk about in our sessions will remain confidential. However, if I am concerned about your risk of harm to yourself or others, I may be obliged by law to disclose information, but will seek to do this with your consent.

What about counselling supervision?

I offer fortnightly or monthly supervision on a sliding scale (£65-85), either in person in SE22 or on Zoom
